Eligibility & Registration 

​The NAGA National Amputee & Adaptive Championships will be a 54-hole stroke play event for both Men and Women with a verifiable USGA handicap.  The NAGA Senior Amputee & Adaptive Championships will be a 36-hole stroke play event for both Men and Women over the age of 55 with a verifiable USGA handicap. Championships will follow The USGA's Rules of Golf for players with Disabilities.  
 
Eligibility to play in the NAGA Amputee & Adaptive Championships is open to all NAGA members, and Non-Amputee adaptive golfers as defined by the sport classes by the USAGA.

NAGA Championship: This is awarded to the lowest scoring player in the National Amputee & Adaptive Championship that has total loss of a limb or is an amputee at a major joint (wrist, elbow, shoulder, ankle, knee or hip) a player with the total loss of the use of a limb or congenital defect per the bylaws of NAGA.
 
Senior NAGA Championship: This is awarded to the lowest scoring player in the Senior Championship that has total loss of a limb or is an amputee at a major joint (wrist, elbow, shoulder, ankle, knee or hip) a player with the total loss of the use of a limb or congenital defect per the bylaws of NAGA.

Women’s NAGA Championship: This is awarded to the lowest scoring female player in the National Amputee & Adaptive Championship that has total loss of a limb or is an amputee at a major joint (wrist, elbow, shoulder, ankle, knee or hip) a player with the total loss of the use of a limb or congenital defect per the bylaws of NAGA.
 
Adaptive Division Champion: Lowest scoring adaptive player player whom is not an amputee from each USAGA sports class.

Top 10 Lowest Scores (Medalists): lowest 10 scores of any amputee or adaptive participant playing in the 54 hole NAGA National Championship regardless of or gender. 
 
Guest Division Champion: Lowest scoring non-adaptive player player.

All payments must be paid in US Dollars and checks made payable to the National Amputee Golf Championship.
ENTRY DEADLINE:  August 10th, 2026.
 
LATE ENTRIES:  Tournament Entry Applications received after the entry deadline of August 10th, 2026 will be accommodated on a first-come-first-serve basis until we have reached a full field.  Late entrants may or may not receive tournament merchandise, and will also be subject to paying a late fee.  All entries will be confirmed by e-mail.  The committee is working on some exciting ideas and additional information about the tournament will be passed along with your confirmation e-mail.  Please be sure your e-mail address is included on the online form or indicated LEGIBLY on the mailed-in entry form.
 
REFUND POLICY:  No full refund of fees will be made after August 10th, 2026.  Should a cancellation of entry and request for refund become necessary, a written request including the reason for the request should be e-mailed to George Willoughby at [email protected]

Championships & Divisions


​​Note to all participants:  If you wish to compete for the overall NAGA Championship you MUST play all three days, scoring from the NAGA Championship Tees for 54 holes.  Seniors (55-64), Super Seniors (65+) will play from the signified Senior Tees.  The Senior Championship will be a 36-hole tournament on Wednesday, August 25th, and Thursday, August 26th.  Be sure to complete the Entry Form that you will be playing in the Senior Championship ONLY.  A player who is over 55 wants to compete for the NAGA Championship MUST COMPETE THE OPEN DIVISION and PLAY  from the Championship Tees and score 54 holes.

In the event of a tie for any of the Championships (Men/Womens/Seniors and Adaptive Divisions) there will be a sudden death playoff beginning on hole #18.  ​All other ties will use a scorecard-playoff process in accordance with the USGA guidelines.   ​

DRESS CODE: “Proper golf attire is required on all the courses. For men, proper golf attire consists of a polo-style shirt with collar, turtleneck or mock turtleneck shirt, and slacks or Bermuda-length shorts. For women, proper golf attire consists of polo-style shirt with collar or other suitable shirt or blouse with or without a collar, and slacks, skirt or Bermuda-length shorts. Golf shoes with metal spike alternatives are required; however soft-soled shoes and tennis shoes are acceptable.”

PRACTICE ROUNDS:  Practice rounds can be booked by registered players to play up to 14 days in advance of the tournament by calling the golf courses. Scheduling practice Rounds is the sole responsibility of the player, not NAGA.  Please notify the clubhouse that you are with the National Amputee Golf Association when you book your round. Rounds will be booked based on availability, discounted rates are available on August 22nd & 23rd after 12pm. Seniors may play a practice round after tournament play on Monday, August 24th. 
 
​PRACTICE FACILITIES:  Pre-round range balls, daily, are included in the competition fee.

PACE OF PLAY: Each course we are playing is committed to maintaining a reasonable pace of play. Should your play not meet our pace of play requirements appropriate action will be taken. Participants should arrive at least 45 minutes prior to play commencing to allow for sufficient time to warm-up on the range, then to be in their golf carts 20 minutes prior to hear the tournament announcements. Carts shall leave the staging area headed out onto the course 10 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.”  ***In the event of not meeting pace of play requirements, the participant(s) slowing play may receive penalty strokes.***
 
SPECTATOR GOLF CARTS:  Golf carts will be available for spectators on availability ONLY.  Depending on participation level there is a possibility that there will not be any carts available and will be on a first come first serve basis.
